From student projects to open-source teaching kits, we are closely working with employers and professional bodies (IEEE) to bridge the skills gap in the RF and microwave sector.

Open-Source Teaching Kit: Transmission Lines

A test card in a low-cost RF Teflon PCB process, for teaching transmission line characterisation and VNA measurements.
• Matched microstrip line and non-50 Ohm CPW.
• Open-ended stub.
• Stepped impedance line.

We are grateful to the IEEE Educational Initiative for a $ 5,000 grant to make this a community resource.

Evaluating Low-Cost Instrumentation

Aiming to make microwave education more accessible through low-cost test kits.
• VNA comparisons: NanoVNA, NanoVNA Ultra, and PicoVNA.
• Siglent and Fieldfox (Keysight) coming soon.

Introduction to EDA and mmWave Measurements

We are building a library of introductory videos to cutting-edge instruments, making high-end mmWave labs accessible irrespective of location.
